Anne Mackie, a founding member of the IS, was active in the 1960s movements for civil rights, women’s liberation, and an end to the Vietnam War. One of the first women United Parcel Service drivers in the country, she was the editor of the rank-and-file employee newspaper, UPSurge, and a founding member of Teamsters for a Democratic Union.
