Julie Torrant, Ph.D., is the author of The Material Family (Sense Publishers, 2011) and co-editor of Human, All Too (Post)Human: The Humanities After Humanism (Lexington, 2016). She has published articles on feminism, family, and critical theory in such journals as Signs, Nineteenth Century Prose, Cultural Logic, and Textual Practice. She is currently working on a book about health and disability in global capitalism.
