Carl Mirra, PhD, is Associate Professor and Chair of Teaching & Learning and Director of Liberal Studies/Social Sciences at Adelphi University. His books include Soldiers and Citizens: An Oral History of Operation Iraqi Freedom from the Battlefield to the Pentagon. He traveled across Ukraine in 2022 and 2023 conducting oral history and a public opinion survey as well as performing small-scale humanitarian aid.
