Mina Fakhravar is a doctoral candidate in Feminist and Gender Studies at University of Ottawa researching Iranian women’s everyday resistance to state coercion since 1979. She writes in English, French, and Persian, and her recent work has appeared in The Conversation, Les possibles, and for Amnesty International.

Iranians do not owe anyone a choice between their killers. Neither do Palestinians, Syrians, Kurds, Afghans, or Ukrainians.
